Guy Leclef builds this diptych from tightly folded strips of upcycled paper, each fold held at its center by a thin copper wire, pressed into repeating horizontal bands that read almost like text without content. The pale, uniform tone of the paper contrasts with the dark ground behind it, giving the folds a quiet, almost architectural presence. Working across two panels, Leclef treats repetition as a structural principle in its own right, with each fold functioning as a discrete unit held in place by its own binding. The plexi framing situates the work between object and image, holding the material's fragility within a precise, controlled edge.
