Jeanne Opgenhaffen builds this work from hundreds of individually shaped porcelain petals, layered in dense clusters of yellow that project outward from the surface with pronounced depth. Each petal is handmade and subtly distinct, so that repetition produces variation rather than uniformity, with shifts in tone and curvature suggesting continuous growth rather than a fixed form. Enclosed in a white plexi frame, the piece is presented as an object in its own right, its raised surface catching light differently from every angle.
