Guy Leclef builds this work from thousands of small cardboard fragments set upright and pressed closely together across a square field, their pale tone and irregular edges forming a dense, uniform texture. Framed to hold this accumulation within a precise, controlled edge, the piece emphasizes material and process over image, allowing the arrangement of fragments to generate its own surface logic. Each piece retains traces of its prior use, yet these origins dissolve into the collective structure, where individual identity gives way to pattern and density.
