"Maison Cabuy, an inspiring heritage home, changes into a great spot for creative people to come together, get inspired and grow."
Forwart presents its residency at Maison Cabuy in Mechelen.
In this historic house that carries time in its wall, where light and shadows wisper, each room has its own identity.
In this multiverse, fifteen artists come together. Not as opposites but as voices that delicately form a shared reflection.
In collaboration with Macadam Gallery (Brussels), Forwart Gallery (Antwerp) brings a scenography that places the power of materials at the center. The works speak through paper, glass, porcelain, metal, paint, texture and light. Some pieces search for the fragile edge of our physical world. Others build a quiet realm where color and form approach one another with delicacy. Together they form a living conversation in which softness and strength coexist.
Curated by Lucas De Dycker, whose hometown Mechelen forms an essential backdrop to this residency, the exhibition path unfolds like a silent beat that reveals itself to those who allow themselves to move slowly through it.
