Guy Leclef builds this work from narrow strips of cardboard set on edge in tight vertical columns, their surfaces marked by natural variations in tone despite a shared material base. The columns shift subtly in height and alignment, creating a loose topography without fixed direction or center. Framed in walnut with a wide mat, the piece is presented with the restraint of a drawing, even as its surface remains entirely material.
