CD 51 is a large field of upcycled cardboard, 155 x 135 cm, presented in a walnut frame with a white inner border. Small cardboard elements are set upright and packed closely together, forming a dense brown surface in which lighter edges catch the light against darker recesses. The elements vary slightly in height and angle, so that the pattern never becomes mechanical and the relief changes as the viewer moves. The white border isolates the cardboard field from the warm wood of the frame, presenting recycled material, regularly discarded, with the care usually reserved for precious objects.
