Rêverie Installation brings six discs of different diameters, from 30 to 90 cm, into a single horizontal constellation measuring 300 x 150 cm. Each element is a monochrome in its own right, in blue, green or amber, built by Corine van Voorbergen in layers of pigment on wood and sealed with a hand-polished brass ring. Seen together, the discs shift the emphasis from the individual gradient to the intervals and correspondences between colours. The Dutch artist uses colour as a means of evoking feeling; the title places the work in the register of daydream, a loosely connected sequence rather than a fixed statement. The arrangement keeps her central motif, the circle, in plural form.
