Swedish Fish Water Bags 72 introduces a small red fish into Dylan Martinez's glass water bag. The shape recalls the Swedish Fish sweet, so that the familiar image of a fairground goldfish carried home in a bag is replaced by a piece of candy. The substitution adds humour and nostalgia to a work already built on illusion. As in all of Martinez's water bags, the water, bubbles and folds of plastic are hot-sculpted glass. His recent work draws on pop culture and on the objects of childhood, using a permanent material to hold images of brief, playful moments.

Please note that each sculpture is a unique creation, and individual pieces may vary from the image due to their handmade nature. This picture serves as an example, our team will reach out to assist you in choosing a set that meets your satisfaction.
